My 9-11-2011

Today’s Posts have been in Honor of the Victims, The Hero’s the Firemen, police, first responders, the people who helped others even if it could mean the loss of their own lives, Thank you to our Brave men and women from the Army, Navy, Air force, Marines and National Guard, Those who lost their lives, Those who have returned and those who are still defending us.

I remember that morning where I was and what I was doing and the silence that fell, working in a Technical Support group (I cannot mention the company name but I am still with them today) Customers call all the time 24 hours a day.

My memories of that day:

The day started has any other I woke up cranked up the bike stopped and got coffee, and on the way to my Job. When I arrived I talked with co-workers and headed to my desk and to my phone to assist customers, It started off like any day lots of call’s and escalations, Then the phones stopped no call’s at all The support tickets stopped coming in, I noticed people looking around from all departments. My first reaction was to test the phones for all departments and I was able to reach Agents in all our departments. Then I saw our Mangers, Project Managers, and the President and Vice President at my Job gathered around a TV and they all looked serious, Shortly after this an e-mail went out explain what was happening, and the reports continued throughout the day.  The silence remained through my shift you could see the fear, sadness and anger in my co-workers faces.

Please take a moment on this day to remember those who lost their lives those who gave their lives and the Hero’s that arose from the ashes. Take a moment to thank a soldier if you happen to see one for the sacrifices they have made.
