by William DoscherSaturday, November 27 2010
Country music legend Willie Nelson was arrested on Black Friday for possession of marijuana. Making his way from California to Austin, US Border Patrol officials found six ounces of pot on his tour bus in Sierra Blanca, Texas. The officers reportedly smelled the substance, found it, and jailed Nelson and two others.
According to ABC local station KVIA, Nelson was released after posting the $2,500 bond shortly afterwords. Nelson has been pinched for drugs in the past, notably in 2006 when he was charged with a misdemeanor for possession of a pound-and-a-half of weed and mushrooms, landing him a hefty fine and six months probation.
Nelson did not comment on the arrest. The 77-year-old will be performing a live concert at the Austin City Limits in Austin, Texas this February
